History reveals seven gateways to hell.
One may be in rural Kansas, about a three-hour drive from Wichita, making it a unique day trip for anyone interested.
Stull, Kansas is an inconsequential little town, with only a church, a cemetery, some houses, and about 20 residents. It is said that other residents are actually from “beyond this earth”. But further investigation reveals these stories may have been made up by local college students. The residents emphatically debunk all stories related to the supernatural goings-on in their community.
Stories about the other gateways, however, are all rooted in truth: the volcano of Masaya, Nicaragua; Xibalba, in Mexico; Mt. Hekla in Iceland; St. Patrick’s Purgatory in Ireland; a pyramid in Anuwat, Egypt; and Erta Ale in Ethiopia, called “The Hell Hole of Creation”.
Regardless of denomination, most religions consider hell to be a place of fire and brimstone, of everlasting torment.
Scripture refers to Hell as Sheol, the abode of the dead, Hades, the fiery-like place of judgment for the unsaved, or Gehenna, figuratively referred to as a place of eternal damnation in tormenting fire.
The Bible is clear. Hell is real and located inside the Earth itself. Where the core reaches temperatures over 12,000 degrees Fahrenheit. It is a place of extreme, everlasting torment. It is where sinners go who do not repent of their wickedness.
It is a place where your thirst is never quenched, your hunger never satisfied. No cooling breeze is there to ease the flames burning your flesh, day in and day out.
What’s worse. Satan and his demons reside there. They can’t wait to drag you into hell with them so they can torment and torture you forever.
They will enjoy ripping out your tongue, poking out your eyes, disemboweling you, and doing every other unmentionable thing they can think of. Then, once you are in pieces, after you go through excruciating pain (you will be fully conscious and aware that you are in hell), Satan and his demons will put you back together and start torturing you all over again. Over and over and over again…for all eternity!
Is this really where you want to go when you die? Or would you rather go to Heaven, where there is a mansion waiting for you…and the love of a wonderful God who would see none of us go to hell?
“. . . Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” (I Corinthians 2:9 KJV)
“The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
“And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
(Matthew 13:41-42 KJV)
