GOD’S PROMISES ON FINANCES

You shall not steal.” Exodus 20:15

For where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice.”

(James 3:16 NET Bible)

It is no secret that we live in an age of materialism and greed these days. Seems people want more and more of this or that. It is a never ending cycle of “I want”…”I need”…”I can’t live without…”.

The trouble is these days is that many want stuff for free, so they won’t have to work for it. One thing missing in today’s society is a good work ethic. Many people are just lazy and self-serving. Heck, even the Apostle Paul was a tentmaker by trade. He made tents to earn his own money for the ministry God had given him, not expecting others to support him. (Acts 18:3)

One of my children manages a store, and I am told how some employees have no clue of how to do their job properly so he has to teach them things my children learned at a young age. As a single parent, I had no choice but to teach my children many things and to have them do things most parents would not teach their children while they are so young. But I had to work full time, 12 hour days, rotating shifts, and often earned other money on the side to supplement. Needless to say, my children became very independent. I did such a good job teaching them these things that I often feel like they never need me for anything anymore. But that is fine because that is how children honor their parents. My children still ask my advice or ideas on things, but they are very intelligent and competent at what they do, with very strong work ethics. They are also honest and know that in order to get what they want, they have to work for a living. They expect nothing from anyone except what they expect as payment for a job well done. If God blesses them with freebies along the way, then that is always a plus. I can’t tell you how much God has favored us. How many times blessings came our way. I lost count of how many free pizzas we somehow ended up with and sometimes free desserts in restaurants. Many other blessings God has bestowed on us, too. God knows our hearts, even when they are hurting. I have seen my children get blessed when they were going through some painful situations. God is so wonderful. That is why I love Him so much.

Now God’s Word is clear. “…This we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (KJV) Unfortunately, too many people expect others to support them instead of earning a good, honest living on their own. Some even beg, borrow, badger, or steal from others, just to get stuff, but most commonly, money. Covetousness is another aspect of this ‘greed’ epidemic raging through our world these days. It has been said that the spirit of greed is one of the most powerful of Satan’s heirarchy during these end times. We can certainly see that. And we can see how others would rather steal what another person has earned through hard work or been gifted or blessed with than earn their own way. Jealousy goes right along with all of this. Always wanting what another has instead of seeking God on their own, walking in righteousness and holiness as God commands, instead of waiting on God to bless them.

But regarding finances, many worry over them constantly, losing sleep over unpaid bills or debts. This is what leads others to sin. But God’s Word assures us that God wants us to be free from financial worries. These days, it is difficult to even tithe or give offerings because people are in so much debt. Worry robs people of peace and joy. But God assures us that Christians who are faithful in tithing and offerings can claim His promises. Granted, we are no longer commanded to give our tithe. The Old Testament directive for the Israelites was nailed to the cross when Jesus died and the veil was rent in two in the temple, marking the end of the Old Testament. But the fact is is that now we get to tithe and give offerings. This is New Testament.

God’s Word promises, basically, regarding finances, that IF you do this, then THIS will happen. Badgering people for money won’t assure us of the financial blessing that God Himself promises His people. Stealing from others won’t help either. When anyone steals anything from someone else, especially from a true believer, then that person will bring a curse upon himself. So I would not advise robbing anyone or taking vengeance on a person by stealing from that person. The Bible is clear in that it is up to God to avenge His people, not we ourselves. (Romans 12:19; Hebrews 10:30-31) Thieves will think they are growing prosperous but, in the end, their prosperity will turn to dust. (Zechariah 5:3,4)

Basically, stealing and swearing falsely are representative of all the sins that break the Law of God. Stealing violates man’s duty toward man, and swearing falsely violates man’s duty toward God.

I do understand the hidden drive of those with addictions and the need to steal to get money for their habit, but the Bible is clear that these sorts of sins will keep people out of Heaven in the end, unless they repent of their sins and submit to God’s leadership in their lives. God can heal any addiction, making it unnecessary for someone to steal from another.

Tithes and Offerings

If a person is faithful in his tithes and offerings, then he or she can claim the following promises God has made to us:

“Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.” (Deuteronomy 29:9 KJV)

Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

(Psalm 37:3 KJV)

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor His seed begging bread.”

(Psalm 37:25 KJV)

The Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

(Psalm 84:11 KJV)

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.”

What You Say Is What You Get

Freedom from financial worries is assured by God’s Word. Below are some words and Scriptures you can recite aloud daily to bring into your life prosperity, provision, and abundance IF you are obedient to God’s Word in tithing, generosity, and offerings. In all ways keep your heart pure and holy before the Lord, so He will bring blessings into your life. Trusting God is at the heart of every believer’s walk with Him, together with humility. Remember, if your prayers are not being answered or hindered, many times it may be because of some unconfessed sin and from a lack of repentance from that sin. Other times, God may just be saying ‘no’, or ‘maybe’, or ‘wait’. Also know that God does not always do things as we think He should or as we want Him to. So nevertheless, remain faithful to Him, and trust Him to fulfil His promises to you. He is not a liar and faithful in all ways. So as the saying goes, “God said it. I believe it. That settles it.”

Always remember that our words have power, so what you speak out loud can call things into existence, including attacks from Satan if you are not careful. Some things you should never say include the following:

Money doesn’t grow on trees.”

I can’t afford it.”

I am on a fixed income.”

Below are the words you can recite every day, to claim your blessings. Some are just prayers I use for myself, which you may want to pray as well. I will also include a link so you can download them for your personal use. May God prosper and bless you as you seek His best for you.

For Money Owed To You

Make a list of those people, businesses, or organizations who owe you money. Place the list in front of you, lay your hands upon it, and declare:

Jesus said that whatever is loosed in Heaven is loosed in Heaven. Therefore, in Jesus’ name, I loose the finances that are owed to me. I call this money in so that these accounts are paid, in Jesus’ name.”

Prayer For Provision and Restoration

Lord, I ask for Your provision of more than enough and restoration of all money owed to me, so that I will owe no man or woman anything and that I will be forever out of debt. I ask all these things, in Jesus’ name, in accordance with Your will. Thank You, Lord.”

For Timely Payment Of Monthly Bills

God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. God is the Source of my supply, and I have more than enough to pay my bills on time. BE PAID IN FULL, IN JESUS’ NAME!”

For Debts

[Bills, debts, etc.], listen to me. I’m talking to you. Jesus said that you would obey me. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I command you – I say to you: BE PAID IN FULL…DEMATERIALIZE…DEPART…BE GONE! In Jesus name, you WILL obey me!”

To Buy Property Or A Vehicle

In Jesus’ name, in His authority, by the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I call those things that be not as though they were. I now call the houses, property, vehicles that fit my needs and desires and will be a blessing to me – I CALL YOU TO ME NOW, IN JESUS’ NAME! I declare that God’s highest and best is done in this matter, and the angels are now working on my behalf.”

To Remove Hindrances

God, Your Word says that whatever I bind on Earth is bound in Heaven, and whatever I loose on Earth is loosed in Heaven. Therefore, on the authority of Your Word, I bind and take authority over every force that has set itself against my financial prosperity! I hereby declare all curses against me null, void, and harmless, in Jesus’ name!

I am redeemed from the curse of poverty and lack! I am free from oppression! I now loose the abundance of God, and all that rightfully belongs to me now comes under grace in a perfect way. In Jesus’ name.”

Program Your Spirit For Success

So there you have it. Be faithful in all you do, including in your tithes, offerings, and all other areas we are commanded to be obedient in, then there should be no reason for God not to bless you and fulfill His promises to prosper you. It is always a matter of your heart, obedience to God, and true humility in your walk with Him, including how you love other people and forgive them of wrongs done against you.

The question was asked recently about how to identify an occult ministry.

Actually, there are many signs that may identify an occult ministry.  But the easier thing to do would be to look for the signs of a true Church of Jesus Christ.

As I have mentioned previously, the best thing for believers to do right now is to form smaller cell groups with other like-minded, true believers and followers of Jesus Christ and His Word.  Since the government now has allowed spies into our churches, one never knows who may be there seeking evil against churchgoers.  Executive Order No. 13397 was passed into law by former President George W. Bush, giving the government this right back on March 7, 2006.

However, if you still wish to frequent a regular church, it is best to look for the signs of a true remnant church, one that has true followers of Jesus Christ, who are doing their best to walk in obedience with God and His Word – the Holy Bible.

GOD’S TRUE CHURCH

 There are several ways to actually identify a true church of Jesus Christ:

(1)   A true church of Jesus Christ will be Bible-believing, Bible-centered.  It will teach about salvation and will help prepare you for the end-times, among other things.  True believers walk in Spirit and in Truth.

(2)  A true church of Jesus Christ will uplift Jesus at all times through praise and worship.  There may be a noticeable spirt of joy in the true church, among the true believers there.  It will be noticeably alive and vibrant.  Since Jesus lives in the hearts of all true believers, it is difficult for us to remain silent and miserable.  True believers are usually a happy, smiling, friendly bunch.

(3) A true church of Jesus Christ will sincerely be awaiting and believing in the second coming of Jesus Christ.  The believers will also be making an effort to prepare the Bride (the Church) for the Bridegroom (Jesus Christ), when He comes, making corrections that need to be made, if any.  That means staying away from man’s doctrines and faithfully adhering to God’s laws, among other things.  No legalism must be present.

(4)  A true church of Jesus Christ will teach the Biblical Truth about death, sharing the Truth of Heaven and Hell and what actually happens to a man’s soul after he dies.  It will teach the importance of salvation.

(5)  A true church of Jesus Christ will be a health-conscious church, basing its Truth on what is contained in the Bible:  (i. e. not eating pork, getting plenty of rest and exercise, etc.)

(6)  A true church of Jesus Christ will keep the Ten Commandments and teach GOD’s doctrines, NOT man’s.  Believers will tithe in accordance with God’s will, as set forth in the Bible.

(7)  A true church of Jesus Christ will teach that baptism is done by immersion, as done in the Bible, to all adults who know right from wrong and are able to choose for themselves if they want to follow Jesus Christ.  True believers are completely immersed in water, NOT sprinkled.  Baptism of the Spirit is also taught.

(8)  A true church of Jesus Christ will have the gift of prophecy and will encourage believers’ use of their spiritual gifts.

(9)  A true church of Jesus Christ will honor the real Sabbath, from sunset Friday night to sunset Saturday night.  

(10)  A true church of Jesus Christ will contain a body of believers who love, care for, and truly support one another, as Jesus wants us to do.  And a true body of believers will serve God because they love Him, not because it makes them feel important, as men-pleasers.

I know that not all churches display all of the above characteristics, but if you can find an assembly of believers who are making a whole-hearted effort to obey God in accordance with His Word and who sincerely love Him, then your heart is at least in the right place.  However, with your own cell group, with even a group of three or so, you can demonstrate all of these characteristics because God says that “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.”  (Matthew 18:20 KJV)

And don’t feel that if you aren’t in an established church with a nice steeple on it, that you aren’t being obedient to God.  If you meet at a friend’s home instead, with but a few others, you are still walking in obedience.  Organized religion is not Biblically commanded.

In fact, in Hebrews 10:23-25 (KJV), it only states the following regarding God’s will in the matter:  “Let us hold fast the confession of our faith without wavering:   (for He is faithful that promised;)  And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works:   Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:  and so much the more, as ye see the Day approaching.”

AN OCCULT MINISTRY

Now, if you still need identifying signs of an occult ministry, then here is a list of some of its characteristics:

(1)  There will be identifying occult and masonic symbolism.  In fact, the following links have pictures and information to that effect, so there is no need for me to repeat any of it.  Both of these websites are excellent resources for helping one discern if a ministry is into occultic practices.

It may shock you to see that some of these occultic symbols are displayed on the New King James version of the Bible, which is why I only read the original KJV.  (I also read The Complete Jewish Bible.)  See for yourself:

(2)  There is a single, powerful human leader.  He may, in fact, proclaim himself to be a god on earth.  The leader of a supposed “ministry” I once attended was a control freak and felt the need to be uplifted all the time as if he desired our worship.

He once got up in front of our little group and bragged how someone saw him with a crown on his head and a long robe draped about his shoulders, and you could see how puffed up this man was with what he had been told.  The man displayed haughtiness and arrogance as he acted this out before us, something no true man of God should ever display.  The man was a true showman.

(3)  The teachings of this cult overshadows God’s Truth.  The “ministry” I once attended disallowed its members to even bring a Bible to the meetings.  This is a sure sign that something is wrong, when this happens.  The leader of such a “ministry” will not want to be exposed for the liar that he is.  And when this supposed leader told me not to fast because we only need to eat protein, even that shocked me.  Biblical fasting is a common practice among true believers.

(4)  An occult ministry uses force to coerce its members to submit to their false practices and teachings.  The “ministry” I once attended would not allow me to have a life or associate with anyone outside of the ministry group.  I was publicly shredded or humiliated if I dared think about even skipping a meeting.

(5)  A cult leader will teach a Jesus that is not found in the Bible.  It wasn’t until after I left the “ministry” I was in that God told me about the leader of that cult.  Someone gave me a prophecy later that told me that that man did not worship the same God that I worshipped.  This wasn’t obvious during my time involved with the so-called “ministry”, perhaps because I was too close to it at the time.  But I was quite shocked the day the man came in bragging to the group that he had finally learned to give praise to God.  WHAT?  The man was in his mid-60s, ran a supposed ministry, and had only just learned to praise God?  Most born-again believers praise God the day they get saved.

(6)  Occult ministries will not teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  An occult ministry will teach a gospel of good works instead, expecting you to earn your way to Heaven.

Jim Jones, for example, taught his followers that by drinking Kool-Aid they would be set free.  Charles Manson taught his followers that murder was a good work.

The “ministry” I was in never taught much of anything.  Instead, the leader would single out someone, usually the new person – me – or another single woman and slander that person in front of the entire group, making false judgments and accusations against that person.  Shredding the person’s soul was what this man’s “ministry” was all about.  NOT God’s ministry, but Satan’s.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ says:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”  Ephesians 2:8

“Not of works, lest any man should boast.”  Ephesians 2:9

“…The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”   Romans 6:23

(7)  Cults often urge their converts to leave their families.  In my case, I left my family, my children, sold my car and home, believing I was going to follow God in the way He wanted me to.  I was willing to give up everything for Him.  I moved from New York to Kansas, and the cult leader and his wife rushed me so I barely had a chance to think about this move.  They told me not to worry about my car, that I would get one when I got to Kansas.  That was a lie.  It has been over four years, and I still have no car.  I now rent instead of own.  My family live in other states.  My heart was in the right place, and I knew God wanted me in Kansas.  I didn’t realize, however, how deceived I was until I actually arrived in Kansas and had to experience the deceit this so-called “ministry” was practicing for myself.  Everything seemed to boil down to money.  If you didn’t give the leader of this “ministry” money, then he blasted you in front of everyone.  Eventually, this evil man kicked me out of his “ministry” because I had no money to give at the time, and I because I learned the extent of his lies and ignorance of Scripture.  I praise and give thanks to God that I knew the Truth of God’s Word enough to know when I was being deceived.

“And ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.”  (John 8:32 KJV)

(8) I believe an occult ministry may easily be revealed through its members as well.  If you aren’t obeying the legalistic teachings of the one in charge, practically worshipping this deceitful, controlling person, you will notice how the members will slander you behind your back, quickly turn on you, and lie about you to anyone who will listen.  Granted, there are so-called Christians who do the same thing.  But when an entire group gangs up on you, telling you to keep quiet, as was done to me in the so-called “ministry” I was in for a short while, then you will definitely know that you are in an occult ministry.  The evil prevalent among the leader’s followers will reveal themselves to you through their own behavior and words.

One time I was filled with the Spirit of God, singing and praising Him along with the others, only to have the entire group suddenly turn on me.  I was told to be quiet and not to sing, unless I did it silently.  WHAT?  This was definitely NOT from God.  One woman got right in my face and told me what I should be doing, while being backed by all the others.  Clearly, the members of an occult ministry may pretend to be Christians when, in fact, they are merely Pharisees at heart, white-washed tombs.

So beware, if people are treating you this way while you are praising God and trying to be obedient, and truly being filled with His joy, know that an occult ministry is NOT the place for you.  Get out of it and never look back.  Even before I was so graciously “kicked out” of this so-called “ministry” I came 1,300 miles to be a part of, I had already intended to leave.  The evil members of this occult ministry only made it easier for me to do so.  Funny though, in the end, someone gave me a prophecy sometime later that said that the members of that little group did not kick me out.  It was, in fact, God Himself who rescued me from them, pulling me out to protect me from what those people were doing against me.  As I ponder these things, grateful that I serve a wonderful, loving God who cares for His own and protects them from evil such as this, I recall the following verses:

“They shall put you out of the synagogues:  yea, the time cometh, that whosever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

“And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor Me.”  (John 16: 2,3 KJV)

Also, by calling true believers evil, as some of these people and their friends have done to me, then they are in for a big surprise.  For Scripture reads:

“Woe unto them who call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.”  (Isaiah 5:20 KJV)

Know that God is not pleased at what this and other so-called “ministries” are doing to true believers, and they will not get away with their sins.  Unless, of course, they see the error of their ways and repent of their evil.  I praise the God of Heaven, the LORD GOD I AM, for being a loving and forgiving God who does not wish to see anyone go to Hell when (s)he dies.

Although I have given some examples of a ministry that appears to have believers of Jesus Christ within it, there are Satanic, occult ministries out there that are more easily recognizable.

Know that just because the name of Jesus is used in a supposed “Christian ministry”, such may not be the case.  At the core of that ministry may be the roots of Satanism in some way, shape, or form.  In these end-times, God will allow increasing deception.  So all true believers of Jesus Christ must always be aware and alert to the enemy’s devices.  And I pray, in the name of the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, of Yeshua, that all who love Jesus and seek Him as their Lord and Savior will always know His Truth and not be deceived or caught in the lies of the enemy.  That is my hope, prayer, and blessing for all of you.  In Jesus’ Name, in the Name of Yeshua, I ask all these things for you who seek the Truth.

There are many who believe that just because they attend church, are active in church, or because they consider themselves good people, that they will go to Heaven when they die. Not true!

Only those who are faithful and obedient to God, who read and study His Word, who apply His Truths to their lives, who believe Jesus Christ (Yeshua) died on the cross for their sins and who believe that He now sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven will go to Heaven when they pass from this life. A person must be a committed believer, one who has publicly confessed his/her belief, before men, in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Only these true believers will gain entrance to Heaven.

If you do not believe that Jesus Christ died for you, if you have not confessed your belief to at least one other person, but go to church, help others, or are active in church, or who live as the world lives, drinking, gambling, whoring, etc, then you can be certain you will go to Hell when you die, not Heaven.

Your heart must be right with God. You must be obedient to what He commands us to do. If you have no love in your heart for others, even if you know Scripture inside and out, if you are walking in disobedience and rebellion toward God, then you are what is considered a Pharisee. Pretending to be a believer in Christ, yet not walking the walk with Jesus Christ does not cut it. Doing evil against others is definitely not the way to gain entrance to Heaven.

You must accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior and have a personal relationship with Him. Scripture says that “Faith without works is dead.” (James 2:14-26) A true believer will love others, help others, and walk in direct obedience to God, because he/she truly loves God and others. A true believer will trust God and be faithful to Him, come what may.

And please understand that no one is perfect. Believers makes mistakes. The only difference is that we are forgiven of our sins. We must repent and turn away from our sins once we confess them before God. And mean it.

If you are helping others just to make yourself look good in the eyes of others, if you do everything for show and for no other reason, then you are wasting your time. Pretending to be a Christian and not walking in obedience with God will surely gain you eternity in everlasting hellfire.

Seek Him now before it is too late. The time is short. And death is final.

People often relate money to God.

But it is man who has made going to church all about money, not God. Yet some ministries and churches in Wellington, Kansas and elsewhere place emphasis on money.

God should be first in your life.

His desire is not for money, but a place in our hearts.

While sitting in a restaurant, a man was overheard telling someone what had been done to him. You could hear the pain and disbelief in his voice.

The man’s job kept him on the road. He said that whenever he was in town, he would attend church and put twenty dollars into the collection basket.

That morning, the minister approached him and told him not to come back to church. He said that since the man wasn’t there every week, there was no point in his coming back. The man was ousted from his church, one he had faithfully given money to, out of the goodness of his heart, probably for most of his life.

Since he wasn’t able to give money every week, he wasn’t worthy of attending this church. No matter the man’s efforts to do what was right, when possible. It all boiled down to money.

Friends, this should not happen. Ever.

God accepts us for who we are. He doesn’t care if we are rich or poor. Like the widow, referred to in Luke 20:45-21:1-4, even if all we can afford to give is two pennies, if you are giving from the heart, then you are giving in accordance with God’s will. No man should dictate what a person is to give.

If you are attending a church that places its emphasis on money, then it would be best if you left that place anyways because clearly the Lord’s presence is not in that church.

Remember, God looks on the heart, not on how much money you give, how many church dinners you’ve served, or how many choirs you’ve been in. (1 Samuel 16:7 KJV)

Remember, God is not about money, but more about the state of our hearts than anything.

Because that is what God looks at.

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV)

Tithing – Let’s Get It Right

The patriarchal age, the age of offering burnt sacrifice, ended the day Jesus died on the cross and the temple veil was rent in two. The cry, “It is finished.”, when Jesus died, ended that age and whatever came before it.

We are living in the New Testament age. We are to give back to God in a cheerful manner whatever we propose in our hearts to give. (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Although tithing is no longer a regulation, it is still a spiritual principle that brings with it protection, provision, and blessings for those who choose to give back to God. The amount a person gives is a personal decision.

Our God is a legal God. His way of doing things was laid out eons ago. Things must be done because of who God is. He never changes, nor do His principles. (Malachi 3:6)

Malachi 3:7-15 is a passage often used by those who advocate “storehouse tithing”. People are misled into believing they are to tithe to their local church rather than giving it to the poor or elsewhere.

The ten percent tithe mentioned in the Old Testament is not equated with that of our gross salary today. Giving is actually a matter between the Holy Spirit and the believer. Tithe mentioned in Scripture is used only as a guideline in determining how much we should give.  Ten percent, however, is a good starting point.

People attend church and give money to help support missions or whatever. It is the same everywhere, in Kansas and throughout the world. Unfortunately, some misinterpret Scripture for their eventual gain. By disguising tithes as “seed gifts” or “faith offerings”, people are being tricked into giving wrongfully.

Paul the Apostle wrote, in 2 Corinthians 9:7, that God examines the motives for giving, not the amount. We need to remember this.

A woman in Wellington, Kansas, let’s call her Esther, has been accused of evil because her money is not being given to a local ministry. This woman, struggling to survive on disability, gives as she feels the Lord is leading her.  Is it wrong then that she be ridiculed because she is being obedient to God in her method of giving? Or is the minister involved correct in believing that he can demand ten percent of her income?

According to Scripture, this woman is walking in obedience to God.

If you are being made to feel as if you are robbing God because you aren’t giving the way someone else thinks you should, then pray about it. God will impress upon you where He wants you to give and how much.

By listening to the Holy Spirit, you are free indeed.
